NuForce Headphone Amp, USB DAC  uDAC 2 SE

The uDAC-2SE (Special Edition) and uDAC-2SGE (Signature Gold Edition) are designed for Asynchronous USB Audio mode. The audible difference between synchronous and asynchronous USB audio is best left for the very discerning audio enthusiast and audiophile to decide. We provide an upgrade path from uDAC-2 to uDAC-2SE and our advice for consumers who are just getting to appreciate high quality USB audio is to start with uDAC-2 without the additional complicatoin of configuring for Asynchronous USB Audio. Please refer to the Async USB Audio FAQ and Setup Guide.
Existing uDAC-2 customers can upgrade to uDAC-2SE with a $140 upgrade kit that consists of a replacement circuit board and stainless steel front and back panels. * If you're using the uDAC-2 with sensitive in-ear earphones and listening at low volume, please read this article about channel imbalance issues.
